Andrea Pancur (Germany; voice)

is known as Germany's leading representative of Yiddish culture, and has received glowing reviews in the press for her profound and original programming. She has been nominated twice for the RUTH award in the "Global Roots" category, and has also received a nomination for Germany's foremost music awards. Her CD "Federmentsch - Lider fun Yidishland" was voted one of the most significant releases of 2010 by the Yiddish Forverts in New York.

She fuses and transforms various traditions to stunning musical effect with the "modern klezmer quartet", tours as guest artist with the trio "A Tickle in the Heart", and is currently working on her own solo programme "ANDREA PANCURs FEDERMENTSH", which focuses on Yiddish music composed since 1945. She is founder of the Moshe-Beregovski prize for young artists, and also serves on its jury.

Andrea also finds time in her busy schedule for acting and composing music for children's theatre productions, and her extensive concert tours have taken her to Austria, Lichtenstein, Israel, Italy and the USA.
