During the Festival Week, many wonderful artists will perform concerts and audiences will experience them in their role as performers. But who are these artists when they step down off the stage? What makes them tick? Why do they do what they do? How do they prepare? What do they hope to achieve? How do they deal with success and failure?

Meet the Artist is an opportunity to get to know the Yiddish Summer artists in an informal setting and join in a discussion with them wherever it may lead. During each Meet the Artist event, the artist (or artists) who performed in concert the night before will be in the OMA the next day for a question-and-answer session conducted by Festival Director Alan Bern and you, members of the audience.
Not a gossip session, but a real meeting of the minds and exchange of ideas.
