Born in 1981, Laurent Clouet's traditional music path began with the music of Bretagne (his homeland region). He learnedklezmer music from Oleg Drobinsky, the clarinet player of Dobranoch. Together with pianist/accordionist Jérôme Block, he started with the classic repertoire from the 1920-30s (Tarras, Brandwein), performing in the band "Sergio and the Moustachers". Laurent has been to Bulgaria several times and has lived in Istanbul for a couple of years in order to learn the popular music of these regions. He continues to perform in many bands (both in France and Turkey) playing Balkan and Turkish music (P4, Paka Paka Corporation, Orhan Kilis) and also klezmer music in the Beigale Orkestra.
