An new international project created during Yiddish Summer Weimar, Voices of Ashkenaz is the first band of its kind to deeply explore the common, centuries-old roots of Yiddish and German folksong.
Directed by the visionary guitarist/mandolinistAndreas Schmitges, with American violin virtuoso Deborah Strauss, Israeli rising star vocalist Sveta Kundish, and German bass master Thomas Fritze, Voices of Ashkenaz will change everything you think you know about Yiddish and German folksong.
With guest, North German violin star Vivienne Zeller.
