The Zmiros Trio

August 1 Thu @Reithaus 21:00

There are no two musicians who have made a greater impact on New Yiddish Music than Grammy-winners Frank London (trumpet) and Lorin Sklamberg (voice).
For over two decades, they have been at the front of countless groundbreaking projects that transform traditional Yiddish music into pure contemporary magic. Their inspired starting point here is nigunim and zmyros, a repertoire of beautiful Hasidic mystical songs traditionally sung around the table at Shabes, fabrengens, weddings or during Jewish holidays. The power of these songs resonates through every note of the trio's innovative arrangements.
With guest pianist and Yiddish Summer Director, Alan Bern.
