The annual Yiddish Summer Weimar Gala Dance Ball has become The Event of the festival!

Dance Old and New Yiddish dances or whatever you feel like to the hot and romantic live music of the Dance Orchestra. It's no problem if you don't know the dances, there are dance leaders and other dancers to help. You can expect to meet a very colorful crowd of young and old from all around the world dressed up or dressed down. And between the dances, bands featured during the concert week will play short sets while you catch your breath and have a drink. Somewhere between an Emil Kusturica film and a family get-together, the Gala Dance Ball is the highlight of Yiddish Summer Weimar.

With dance leaders Steven Weintraub, Andreas Schmitges, Vivienne Zeller, Asya Schulman and more, and the Yiddish Summer Dance Orchestra directed by Ilya Schneyveys, Mitia Khramtsov and Alan Bern, with guests Frank London, Michael Winograd, Patrick Farrell, Benjy Fox-Rosen and more.
