Monika Feil (Germany; violin)

violin, voice, member of the klezmer groups Fialke and Fir, plays traditional Yiddish music since 1993.
She studied klezmer fiddle, Yiddish song and dance with teachers like Joshua Horowitz, Steven Greenman, Michael Alpert, Cookie Segelstein, Alan Bern, Steven Weintraub among others. She also was engaged in the study of the Yiddish language. She was a teacher for klezmer fiddle at Varwe Musica Vienna together with Joshua Horowitz und Isaak Loberan. For many years she performed with different vocal ensembles with emphasis on early and contemporary music such as the Vokalensemble Josquin De Prés Nuremberg.
She is speech therapist, has a degree as a body therapist (Functional Relaxation of Marianne Fuchs) and as a voice trainer and therapist (Functional Voice Work of Michael Heptner).
