Christian Dawid counts as one of today's leading klezmer clarinetists. He performed on countless stages from North America to Western and Eastern Europe to Japan, with artists like Brave Old World, Boban Markovic, Frank London, Lorin Sklamberg, Theodore Bikel, Shura Lipovsky, Lenka Lichtenberg, Socalled, Yuriy Gurzhy, Michael Alpert, Aufwind and many others. He is frequently undertaking research trips to Ukraine and Moldova. Dawid is also a committed teacher in Yiddish music and has been invited to work at festivals in Weimar, London, Paris, Montreal, New York, Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Cracow, Vienna, Hamburg or St Petersburg.
Dawid is currently leading the Ukrainian Brass Band Konsonans Retro, he is playing with Budowitz, Paul Brody's Sadawi, Khupe and Trio Yas, performs as a guest for Shtetl Band Amsterdam and Hamburg Klezmer Band, and together with Kalman Balogh, Alan Bern, Petr Ralchev and others for the widely acclaimed Other Europeans Band.
