was born and grew up in Australia. She studied classical violin and world music in Rotterdam.
In a short time she has become a sought-after fiddler on the European Klezmer stage.

She founded the Vasage Klezmer Trio, Knakl and Kol Ishe. She is a member of Figelin and the Pro Yiddish Project and she plays as a guest musician with Khervisa and Shtetl Bank Amsterdam.

Vanessa teaches and performs at international Klezmer festivals aroud the world, for example in Sydney, Lviv, Vienna, Weimar, Fürth, and Leeuwarden.
